Description of Ingleside Inn: This posh, intimate hotel has been hosting the rich and famous since the 1930s when it was converted from a private estate into a luxurious hostelry. Among its notable guests are Greta Garbo, Greer Garson, President Ford, Marlon Brando, Goldie Hawn, John Travolta and many more. Each of the inn's suites and rooms is individually decorated. The spacious accommodations include amenities such as whirlpool tubs, steam rooms, sitting rooms, private porches and refrigerators stocked with drinks and snacks. Guests can enjoy the mountainous scenery while relaxing by the Olympic-size pool or in the Jacuzzi. Ingleside guests also receive special tee times at several local golf courses. The inn's restaurant, Melvyn's, is a multiple award winner. The two dining rooms are romantic in decor and the menu selection is vast, featuring everything from chateaubriand to shrimp scampi.
